Such a cutie pie of a bird. I made this drawing last year when I saw it for the first time living in the lilac bush. What a yapper! I am posting it in hopes it will come back to the lilac bush this year and continue to scold my cats for daring to come near it.

The other day I saw a smallish woodpecker-nuthatchety-type bird fly over to the Bluebird’s box and start yanking out the straw and other nesty bits… I thought…”That’s messed up little black and white stripe bird!” It then flew back to the Linden tree and started pecking at that. Then the Bluebird came a-flying thru, and started dive bombing the said woodpecker-type. I could hear him saying…”don’t mess with my shit bird…”  An appropriate amount of retribution was displayed.

Moral… Don’t mess with people’s shit, Stand up for yourself when your shit has been messed with, and know when to let things go…
